Shape the products behind our gifts. You will run CNC laser and router machines to cut, carve and engrave wood, MDF and acrylic, from name signs and layered frames to boxes, stands and 3D-carved pieces.
What you'll do
- Operate CNC laser-cutting and CNC router machines for wood, MDF, plywood and acrylic
- Prepare toolpaths and nesting from design files using Aspire, VCarve, ArtCAM, Fusion 360 or similar
- Select bits, feeds, speeds and cutting depths for clean edges and minimal waste
- Produce name signs, layered frames, boxes, stands and carved pieces to exact sizes
- Sand, finish and assemble parts where needed and check quality before packing
- Maintain machines and tools and keep the workshop safe and organised
What we're looking for
- 1+ years of hands-on CNC router or CNC laser experience
- Working knowledge of CAM software (Aspire, VCarve, ArtCAM, Fusion 360 or similar)
- Able to read drawings and measure accurately
- Good understanding of wood, MDF and acrylic behaviour when cutting
- Safety-minded, organised and reliable with deadlines
- Technical diploma or equivalent experience
Nice to have
- Experience with 3D carving or V-carve lettering, including Arabic
- Basic machine maintenance and calibration skills
